Bits of Christmas Present

Christmas Present-as in Christmas presently.  Currently.  Not a gift.
Except for this picture.  This is a early Christmas present.  To me from Abby.  She loves to buy gifts, but she does not like to save them till Christmas morning.  Yes, they are as comfy as they look!
Love this "pop" of Christmas color in my dining room!

And a little bit of Christmas on our bookshelf

My favorite "new" Christmas decoration this year.  A super glittery star I found at Goodwill. Reminds me of this one.

I love taking pictures of Christmas lights.  It took me about 43 seconds to cut a heart out of construction paper to place on my camera lens so it could look like heart lights on my tree!

One of my favorite things at Christmas

A special spot we keep on the counter for hot chocolate

We started this last year and I'm pretty sure this will happen every year.

I've finally decided what I want to be when I grow up!  A hot chocolate photographer!

Definitely a hot chocolate photographer.

Another picture by the Christmas tree.  Me and Lisa.  Right before our kids Christmas program at church.

Caleb's first time to play in the orchestra at church.  And he was in full bearded Micah costume!

Abby is hidden in this picture but she is standing back there.  Isaac was a soldier, but my pictures of him in costume didn't turn out.  No, he didn't have a speaking part .  But I'm pretty sure he was having a conversation here!

Can't get enough of this boy!

All dressed up with somewhere to go!

Our annual church Christmas dinner was last night.  Such a fun evening with an amazing group of friends!

We took all the kids to the Creation Museum's Christmas Town with my parents last week.  My mom wanted to do this together for her 70th birthday.

She also rode a camel to commemorate turning 70!

Her birthday is TODAY!  Happy Birthday, Mom!  I love you!

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

This year we split up decorating the tree over a couple days.  Mainly because there was christmas light drama.  Again.  Which included a trip to three different stores for lights!  The kids always camp out on the living room floor the day we put up our tree.  They love this tradition!

The next day we brought out all the ornaments.

Um yeah ...there was quite a bit of excitement!

And a few more because I love blurry christmas lights (bokeh)

Our nativity scene

I love. love. love this time of year.  So thankful that Jesus came!
