A day at the Zoo

Susanna dragged invited me to the zoo with her a few days ago.

We took Isaac (who has never been to the Zoo) and Levi.

Isaac's favorite thing was the bird show.  

And a long stick to carry around that he found in the bushes.

Of course, he loved the carousel.  We rode it more than once.


There were even real animals there!  Lots of them!  I have a picture of one giraffe.

Lastly the train.  We sat in the caboose.  He had tons of fun and of course he wanted to go back the next day.  Thanks, Susanna, for convincing me to go with you!

Craziness

The last 10 days have consisted of Comargo Camp, a new nephew, back-to-school shopping, my Dad's 70th birthday and my parents 44th wedding anniversary. And my camera memory card that died completely. I did manage to swipe Julie's picture off facebook of my Dad's 70th birthday. Loved being together!

So, we went shopping at Target and bought out their entire school supply section. Almost. I did have pictures of that, but they are/were on my dead memory card. But, I do have these.

And they make me

smile

so much!

I know normal people don't rip out notebook paper and tape it to their wall

or stop at Kroger for 1 red apple

But, seriously, how can this not make your day amazing!

Legos, Lorna, & Losing teeth

Caleb has spent a lot of time working with Carl this summer.  He earned $ to get a snowboard pass and is now saving up for a bow.  He doesn't like getting his pic taken but I forced simply asked for a few shots of

his 394 piece Lego creation.  I even managed to get one pic with half a smile!

My girls adore Lorna and were thrilled to get invited to her surprise (kind of) birthday party.
