My Mother-in-Law is the queen of hosting beautiful bridal showers, baby showers, church picnics, etc. This past weekend she hosted a bridal shower for one of my friends at church. I was so excited to be able to help out.
Corrie and I making party favors.
Caramel Apple dip in teeny mason jars.
Caramel sauce + cream cheese + more caramel sauce + crushed heath bars
= deliciousness
Oh, and an apple on top!
We decided on a "Fall" theme since Fall is almost here.
The beautiful bride, Cheyanna.
The banner was made by cutting triangles out of burlap and then stenciling letters with black craft paint.
I just hotglued the triangles onto some rustic twine.
I made several of the smaller banners to hang up throughout the party area.
My favorite thing was this silhouette of the bride on burlap!
I took a profile picture of her and then used Picasa to increase the contrast so it was easier to trace.
I held up a piece of plain white paper to my computer screen and traced her silhouette. Then cut out the silhouette. And lastly laid the silhouette paper flat on burlap fabric and traced it with a Sharpie.
I love the contrast of the pretty pearls and tulle against the burlap!
Here's the drinks and dessert. On the left was Sparkling Cranberry Punch (with floating apples & oranges)
And on the right Banana Cupcakes with Peanut Butter frosting. Yum!
Can't forget the paper straws.
They looked like this up close and were super festive.
Another picture of the cupcakes (made by Michele).
And another!
For food we were served White Chicken Chili in bread bowls (oops, no picture)
But I do have a picture of the plates.
And Autumn Chopped salad with bacon and pears.
A great evening with wonderful friends, delicious food, and the beautiful bride!

What a beautiful bridal shower. I hadn't even heard that Cheyanna was engaged. I'm assuming that B.B. is her fiance?
Loved all the fun fall-ish pics of the fun bridal shower. The caramel dip and apples looked yummy. Everything did.
Love your banners. Aren't they fun to make? Kimberly and I made one a few weeks ago for our Fall Ladies' tea party.
The silhouette was really fun too.
Looks like a fun time was had by all.
Loved the fun school pics of Ella and Abby below. Too Cute!
Thanks for your fun comment on my blog!

Laura
Sorry, Janie, my internet is so SLOW that your blog had been up for at least 1/2 hour, and the last picture never would open, so I didn't see the "Brent and Cheyanna" on the chalkboard until now. =)

You guys are AMAZING!
Dear Janie, THANK YOU SO MUCH for the clothes you sent for little Joanna. Poor Little Joanna. Her mother is on drugs. Joanna has a younger sister, and her mother is expecting again!!! Joanna is the little girl who woke up to her hand being BIT by a rat one night. Her living conditions were horrible. Jimmy and Farly aren't for sure how long they can keep her, but are trying to help out for now.
She's the happiest I have ever seen her being with Pastor Jimmy and Sis. Farly.
Phillip was able to get everything that you sent in, as well as from Dee and Steff, and as you will see pics/read on my blog post that I just posted, Joanna and Jimmy and Farly ARE THRILLED with everything. They feel so GRATEFUL!!! I told them that if they have extra, they can share with Joanna's little sister and the other girls in the school.
Their Gaby might be able to wear a couple of the bigger dresses that were in there. They couldn't believe it when they got up to our room and saw that everything on our bed was for Joanna!
They are soooooooo happy and want you all to know that they really APPRECIATE what y'all sent. It really means A LOT! They said, "May God richly Bless y'all for everything!"
Farly told me today that Little Joanna can't WAIT to get a bath each morning so she can choose what to wear from her new clothes! =) She wore a dress from y'all today and looked adorable!!
Sorry for the long comment, but wanted to say THANKS!
