Meet the twins!

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!  Have I ever mentioned before my love of GoodWill?  Check out what I picked up there yesterday!
Oh yeah!  As I was browsing yesterday.  Meandering down the last aisle, cluttered with the exact same furniture that has been sitting in there for the last month, I spotted these.
Yes, there was a highly audible gasp when I saw them.  Then I stood there for 15 minutes and stared before I ran to the register to stake my claim.
Brand new.  Check
Slate blue velour.  Check
Nailhead trim.  Check
Perfect.  Check
Here they are currently selling on Target.com for $199

So.  Go to GoodWill.  Today!

Latest Project

I got this poster for Christmas which I love!  But I did not love the odd size which made it impossible to find a frame to fit.  And I did not love the price tag for custom framing.  Hmmm....what to do.

To the rescue!  A piece of half-inch thick foam board from Hobby Lobby for $3.70.  I carefully traced my poster with a utility knife onto the foam board.
And then went around the edges with a continuous piece of masking tape.
Then I hot-glued (because I forgot the adhesive spray at Hobby Lobby) my poster to the foam board.

I love how it turned out!
And a closer view.
I love having this poster right by the dinner table!  Especially if there are any picky eaters at the table!  Speaking of our table, there is always something on our table.  If it's not breakfast, lunch, or dinner, then it's crayons and paper.  Always.  A big ugly tupperware of  crayons, scissors, markers, and pencils.
Not any more.  Yes, there are still crayons on the table
But now they are in this adorable glass canister that I love looking at.
Really, there are few things that make me happier than a glass canister of crayons.  And the little girl using them is one of those things.  I'm definitely feeling a smile and warm fuzzy feelings here!

Just for laughs

Have you ever made home-made play-dough?  You should.  Today.  Seriously, it is so fun and super easy.  And the recipe is in the video.

My favorite line in the video -
Ella:  You can make a whole city.  I'll show you how to make a bear!
(I laugh every time I hear it.  Huh?  a bear?  She's so random!)
Abby:  I'll show you how to make cookies.  Ella: we, we, WE will show you
(You can tell she's trying very hard to get a word in edgewise)

Thank you, GreatClips!

This, That, and the Other

I did it!  Carl took me snowboarding at Perfect North.  I had tons of fun, although this was the position I found myself in most of the evening!

A picture for me.  Brightening up my fridge door.

Love!

My home-made smoothie.  Kind of.  More like frozen yogurt.  Yum!

A weeks worth of library books.

Happiness on a shelf.

The school year is half over.  Hooray!

The bad news is:  I had to make a trip to Columbus this week for a dentist appointment.
The good news is:  Carl took the day off work to go with me.  And Caleb and Abby took the day off school to go with me.

And we got to meet Ricky and Lisa for lunch at the North Market.

Kind of like a indoors farmer's market with all kinds of vendors and lots of ethnic food.
And candy.

Fresh pasta

Fresh-made icecream.

Check out the flavors!

Spices.

Me & Rick had Vietnamese, Lisa ate Greek, and Carl and the kids had Italian pizza.  Then we drove around the city

and enjoyed the fabulous scenery (yep, another farm :) on the way home.  The end.
