A day downtown

Last week we headed out to spend the day downtown Cincinnati

A stop at the downtown mega library

Just the kids section was bigger than

our entire local library!

We had planned to go skating at the ice rink on fountain square but the rain made us change our minds.
So instead it was Graeter's at fountain square.

Yum!

The life-sized nativity at

Krohn Conservatory in

Eden Park with

the live animals.

And a stop in Mt. Adams to see my favorite view of the city.  It was raining!

but they all wanted to get out to check out the view.  I love Christmas vacation!

Merry Christmas!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  Luke 2:11

Days of Christmas

Dinner with my besties.

Happy shelves.

"Minute to Win It" games for our jr. church Christmas party using a one-minute timer for the older kids

and a straw to see how many christmas balls you can get out in a minute.  Very fun!

One minute to build as many marshmallow

snowmen as you can.

And one minute to stack cups in the shape of a Christmas tree.  Intense!

For the younger kids, pin the carrot on Frosty

And a marshmallow

snowman relay race.

And then some crafts to catch their breath.

A wise man, an angel, a very sad sheep, and a shepherd.  Our jr. church Christmas program was awesome!

Snowboard practice in our living room!

Only 5 more days till Christmas!  Have I mentioned he's my favorite?

Deck the Halls

Or the living room :)
Last year when we took our ornaments off, our prelit Christmas tree looked like this.  Less than half of the lights still working.  This year even less lights were working!  So the girls and I spent over 3 hours clipping off every single prelit bulb off or the tree.  And then adding new lights.

Ahhhhh!  Much better :)

I love their excitement  when we get the ornaments out!

And the nativity scene

I love this time of year!
